Recently, the 2025 Heart Rhythm Society Annual Scientific Sessions (HRS 2025) was successfully held in San Diego, USA. Under the theme of "Bringing the World of EP Together," the conference brought together leading global electrophysiology experts to discuss the latest breakthroughs, innovative technological applications, and future development in the field of arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment.
Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. ("MicroPort EP") showcased its integrated electrophysiological intervention and diagnosis solutions to the global market, centered around its "Ice, Fire, Pulse and Magnetism" four-pillar technology matrix.
MicroPort EP highlighted its Columbus™ 3D EP Navigation System, FireMagic™ TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter, IceMagic™ CryoAblation Catheter, Magbot™ Ablation Catheter, Magbot™ high-density mapping catheter, and PathBuilder™ Steerable Introducer. Additionally, the company presented collaborative innovations with Shanghai Shangyang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., including the SynergyPulse™ Pulsed Field Ablation Generator and SynergyPulse™ Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter. These exhibits drew significant attention from attending experts.
As a Chinese enterprise capable of providing comprehensive 3D cardiac electrophysiological equipment and consumable solutions, MicroPort EP attracted electrophysiology experts from the United States, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, and other countries during the conference to visit its booth and experience product performance. During the exhibition, Dr. Peter Weiss and Dr. Sabine Ernst from the Society of Cardiac Robotic Navigation visited the booth to discuss the clinical value and technological innovation of magnetic navigation technology in arrhythmia treatment with the MicroPort EP team. Dr. Jose Luis Merino, former president of the European Heart Rhythm Association, also stopped by to learn about MicroPort EP's latest advancements in arrhythmia intervention and engage in in-depth discussions on pulsed field ablation (PFA) solutions. Professor Mervat Abouelmaaty from Ain Shams University Hospital in Egypt shared her clinical experience with the team and highly praised MicroPort EP's technological innovations. She expressed anticipation for the company's future launch of more innovative products to benefit patients worldwide.
At the exhibition, experts provided professional evaluations of the electrode-customized ablation capabilities of the pulse ablation system, noting that it enables regional discharge and localized spot ablation, offering physicians a broader range of ablation options tailored to diverse clinical scenarios. The SynergyPulse™ Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter, featuring magnetic and impedance based positioning, demonstrated compatibility with the Columbus™ 3D EP Navigation System. This integration allows for a streamlined "3D visualization-modeling-ablation" workflow, earning praise from multiple experts for its precision and operational convenience.
Additionally, MicroPort EP established a Stereotaxis magnetic navigation remote test-drive zone. Conference attendees had the opportunity to remotely connect in real-time via network to the cardiac electrophysiological robotic magnetic navigation system located in MicroPort EP’s Shanghai exhibition hall, successfully executing cross-regional remote control operations. Following their hands-on experience, experts highly commended the precision of the remote control.
Furthermore, the IceMagic™ Surface Temperature Monitoring Cryoablation Solution received unanimous approval from experts. By incorporating surface temperature monitoring technology, this solution enables precise assessment of lesion formation and real-time tissue temperature monitoring during procedures, thereby reducing the risk of complications and enhancing surgical efficiency. Experts acknowledged the positive impact of this design on improving the safety and efficacy of cryoablation procedures.
The exhibition also featured a Hands-on experience zone, where experts could utilize the EasyStars™ 3D High-density Mapping Catheter for modeling and automated mapping, as well as the FireMagic™ TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter for ablation procedures. Multiple experts who engaged with the TrueForce™ Catheter in real-time scenarios unanimously praised its precise and instantaneous force feedback, along with the reliable ablation parameters provided by the Energy Index (EI). They acknowledged that these features significantly enhance the efficacy and precision of radiofrequency ablation procedures for physicians.
For now, MicroPort EP's products have been exported to more than thirty countries and regions. In the future, MicroPort EP will actively expand its global reach, providing more comprehensive products and professional services to patients and physicians, offering a globally competitive integrated solution for electrophysiology intervention diagnosis and treatment.
